How To Enable Your Account For Self Service Password Reset
You may receive an error message stating "An unexpected error has occurred" if trying to complete these steps on a macOS device and the Safari browser. To avoid this please use a Windows based device to complete these steps.
- Please complete the following steps to be able to reset your Microsoft 365 (including Tech1, OpenHR, ELevate, BookingLive, Zoho) password without the need to contact the IT Helpdesk.

Click on the following link
https://aka.ms/ssprsetup and login using your Edinburgh Leisure account credentials. You will see a screen similar to the following;
- Click Add method. You will see a screen similar to the following
- The preferred option is to use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Click Add to use this method.
The alternative option at this stage is to use your phone (text or call). To do this click Phone then click Add. Follow the steps further down for Phone (call or text) Step-By-Step
- You will be showing a screen similar to the following;
Authenticator App Step-By-Step
- If you have been issued with a corporate mobile phone this will already be installed in your Work Profile. If you are using your own personal phone the app is freely available in both the Google Play and Apple app stores. Click Next.
- Click Next on the Set up your account screen
- You should now see a screen with a QR code.
- If you need to install the Microsoft Authenticator app do so now.
- Type Microsoft Authenticator into the relevant app store. Tap to install the app. Once installed tap Open
- Once open you will see a screen similar to the following. Tap Add Account. If you already use the app for other systems tap the 3 dots in the top right and click Add Account
- On the following screen tap Work or school account. You should now see a QR code scanner on your mobile.
- Scan the QR code which should still be on your screen from a previous step. You should see a message advising your account was successfully added on your mobile.
- Click Next
- You should receive a message asking you to Approve sign-in on your mobile. Tap Approve
- You should see a message on the screen advising Notification approved. Click Next
Phone (text or call) Step-By-Step
- Change the area code to the UK and type in your phone number.
- Select whether you wish to receive a text message with an activation code or whether you wish to receive an automated phone call. Click Next
- Depending on what you chose in the previous stage you will now receive a Text or a Phone call containing a 6 digit code. Type this into the relevant field and click Next. If you did not receive the text/call you can click on Resend code.
- You should then see a message confirming your phone was registered successfully. Click Next
- Once you have completed the first method you will now be prompted to confirm the second method. If you chose to use the Authenticator app in the first step you will be able to use Phone (text/call), secondary (non Edinburgh Leisure) email address or security questions. Click I want to set up a different method from the bottom of the screen. Select the relevant option and following the steps below;

- Please refer to the steps above to use your phone to receive a call/text to confirm your account
Email Step By Step
- Type in your personal email address and click Next
- Check your personal email account for a message from Microsoft. Type the 6 digit code into the relevant field and click Next
Security Questions Step By Step
- Click each drop down and choose a question that you are able to easily recall. Below each question type in your answer.
- Click Done once you have chosen your 4 questions.
